Every professional security guard needs reliable equipment. Basic list: duty belt (nylon or leather), flashlight (at least 500 lumens), two-way radio with earpiece, body camera (for liability protection), notebook and pen, first aid kit with tourniquet, disposable gloves, handcuffs (if certified), pepper spray (if allowed by state), and a smartphone for report apps. Many agencies now also require portable chargers and body-worn audio recorders. Don't skimp on boots – you'll walk 10+ miles per shift.
